Job Title – Senior Account Executive

Job Type - Full-Time; Hybrid - Home, Office, On-Site

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $100,000 – $130,000
  • OTE: $212,000 - $245,000

 

Position Overview
The Senior Account Executive will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing TWST Events’ growth strategy within the capital markets sector. This position demands exceptional strategic thinking, business acumen, and executive communication skills to engage senior decision-makers, craft tailored solutions, and expand our enterprise footprint. Deep domain expertise in financial technology and the related buying processes is essential to effectively position TWST Events’ technology solutions. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, the right candidate will act as both a trusted advisor to clients and a strategic partner internally—translating market insight into actionable revenue opportunities. In addition, the role will contribute to a collaborative sales culture and share best practices in business development.


Core Responsibilities

Strategic Sales Execution

  • Develop and execute a territory and account strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Build and sustain strategic relationships with C-level executives, investment professionals, and technology decision-makers within the capital markets and financial services ecosystem.
  • Leverage deep industry knowledge to position TWST’s solutions effectively and align client challenges with measurable ROI outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to influence product direction and go-to-market strategies based on client insights and market trends.

 

Account Management

  • Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of existing clients, ensuring retention and satisfaction.
  • Identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities to drive account expansion.
  • Partner with Service and Support teams to ensure exceptional client delivery and proactive engagement.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of each client’s business model, market position, and capital markets priorities.
  • Manage and develop processes for contracting clients.

 

New Business Development

  • Drive new revenue growth by securing high-value contracts, expanding territory, and winning new clients.
  • Own the full sales cycle—from prospecting and lead qualification through negotiation and contract execution.
  • Develop tailored proposals, executive presentations, and business cases that align with client goals.
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management in the CRM and execute structured lead follow-up.

 

Collaboration and Reporting

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations to develop integrated go-to-market initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting, competitive insights, and sales documentation in CRM.
  • Provide leadership with strategic account updates, market intelligence, and recommendations for growth.
  • Champion teamwork, knowledge sharing, and coaching to strengthen organizational performance.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 8 years of enterprise B2B sales success within capital markets and/or the fintech sectors.
  • Demonstrates consistent track record of hitting quota and of closing larger deals.
  • In-depth understanding of financial workflows, data platforms and technology changes in financial firms.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence C-level executives through strategic communication and consultative selling.
  • Experience designing and executing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with measurable outcomes.
  • Skilled in using CRM platforms HubSpot to drive data-informed decisions.
  • Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and storytelling abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to align internal resources to deliver client value and long-term success.
