Twomey, Latham, Shea, Kelley, Dubin & Quartararo, LLP is seeking a full-time Litigation Attorney.
Twomey, Latham, Shea, Kelley, Dubin & Quartararo, LLP AV is located in Suffolk County with headquarters in Riverhead, and satellite offices in Hauppauge, Southampton, East Hampton and Southold. Established in 1973, we are recognized by Martindale-Hubbell as an AV Preeminent law firm. We have 30 attorneys and 36 staff working together to create a team atmosphere. Responsibilities
The candidate should be able to independently manage own caseload through all phases of pre-trial litigation. Commercial litigation experience in state and federal courts is required. Drafting pleadings, discovery demands and responses, and complex motion papers. Strong deposition experience is required.
In addition to commercial disputes, experience in Surrogate’s Court on Estate and Trust matters, is highly desirable. Some trial experience is preferred.
Qualifications
JD degree from law school and in good standing with NYS Bar Association. 3-5 years' law firm litigation experience required. Excellent critical thinking, writing, organization and research (Lexis) skills. Exceptional judgment and the proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively.
