Job Overview:
AMERI-CANS is seeking a highly organized and strategic Routing Coordinator to join our high-performing operations team in Manassas Park, VA. In this essential role, you'll be the mastermind behind efficient service delivery—planning and adjusting daily driver routes to ensure on-time performance, exceptional customer service, and smart resource use. Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Essential Job Duties) Common activities listed below: actual position responsibilities may vary.
- Develop, assign, and optimize daily driver routes using routing software and geographic knowledge.
- Monitor driver progress throughout the day and provide real-time route support and adjustments.
- Communicate route changes, delivery priorities, and job updates to drivers clearly and promptly.
- Coordinate with dispatch, customer service, and operations to meet delivery and pickup timelines.
- Analyze traffic patterns, delivery schedules, and customer needs to enhance routing efficiency.
- Proactively address and resolve routing delays or service issues.
- Maintain detailed records of routes, service times, and delivery metrics.
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and AMERI-CANS safety standards.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to route performance, focusing on reducing fuel use, service times, and mileage.
Qualifications: Minimum
- High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
- 1-3 years' experience in routing, dispatching, transportation coordination, or logistics.
- Proficiency with routing software (e.g., Verizon Connect, Samsara, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and customer service skills.
- Calm, solution-focused mindset when navigating urgent or unexpected issues.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and local/regional geography is a strong plus.
- Bilingual skills are highly preferred.

Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Early morning or weekend availability may be required
- Overtime available based on operational demand
Work Location
- Onsite at Manassas Park, VA
- Occasional coordination with teams in Richmond, VA, and field-based drivers
Abilities:

Position requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time; move fingers and hands, ability to stoop, crawl, bend, twist, reach, and crouch.
