Role Description This is a part-time position to start with an ability to move into a full time position as experience is built. The Line Cook will prepare and cook flat top grilled items, deep fryer items, nachos and pizzas, following established recipes, portion standards, and food safety guidelines. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting up and breaking down cooking stations, managing cooking times, monitoring food quality, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The role involves coordinating with other kitchen staff, supporting smooth service during peak hours, and interacting with front-of-house team members to support a positive customer experience. The Line Cook is expected to follow health and safety regulations, adhere to company policies, and contribute to an efficient and respectful kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Food Preparation and Cooking, including experience with flat top griddle, deep fryer and pizza-making.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper handling and storage of ingredients.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple orders simultaneously.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.
- Previous experience as a grill cook or pizza cook in a restaurant or similar setting required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is beneficial; culinary training or certifications are a plus.
Salary: $18-$20 per hour dependent upon experience.
