What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Educator - Cavendish Town Elementary position at Two Rivers Supervisory Union?
Two Rivers Supervisory Union is looking for a dynamic teacher in special education to work at our Cavendish Town Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full time position, 5 days per week. The special educator will work with a small multi-disciplinary team of professionals to meet the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.
The special educator will also provide specialized instruction, consultation and academic interventions for students. Applicants should have a working understanding of and alignment with the concepts of Social Thinking, trauma-informed classrooms, and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support.
Role and Responsibilities:
•Provide individual and small group instruction for identified students.
•Maintain records on progress of students to identify difficulties, track progress and justify treatment.
•Possess a working knowledge of Special Education Law, writing Individualized Plans, adapting curriculum, and inclusionary practices.
•Collaborate and communicate effectively with teachers, special educators, related service providers and families to develop and implement individual or group programs.
Salary : $50,140 - $95,940
