We are seeking a warm, reliable, and passionate Part-Time Float Teacher to support our classrooms across age groups, with a primary focus on infants and toddlers. This role is ideal for an educator who is flexible, collaborative, and confident stepping into different classroom environments to support children, teachers, and daily routines. The Float Teacher plays an essential role in maintaining continuity of care, supporting ratios, and helping create a calm, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children
Key Responsibilities
- Support classrooms across all age groups, with a strong emphasis on infants and toddlers
- Provide attentive, responsive care that supports children’s social, emotional, and developmental needs
- Collaborate with lead teachers to carry out daily routines, transitions, and classroom flow
- Engage children in age-appropriate, play-based learning experiences and provocations
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment
- Use positive guidance and developmentally appropriate behavior support strategies
- Build warm, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Step in as needed to ensure consistency, coverage, and classroom support
Qualifications
- EEC Teacher Certification preferred (or actively working toward certification)
- Prior experience working with young children; infant and toddler experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to be flexible, calm, and confident in different classroom settings
- Genuine love for working with young children
