What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laborer (As Needed) position at Two Dudes Junk Removal?
This is an as-needed role, meaning you work when we call and the volume is there. It is a strong fit if you want to earn extra income around another job, school, or a flexible schedule, and it can grow into steady hours for the right person.
Must-Haves
- Able to lift 75 lbs repeatedly (furniture, appliances, debris, etc.)
- Reliable, resilient, coachable, and always on time
- Available on short notice and responsive when we reach out
- Comfortable working in hot, cold, wet, or dirty conditions
- Can pass a background check
- Can commute to Hanover, MD
- Customer service experience or confident speaking with customers
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in junk removal, moving, landscaping, construction, or other physical labor
- Comfortable using dollies, straps, and basic tools
- Clean, valid driver's license with a good driving record (opens the door to more hours and future driving roles)
Core Responsibilities
- Load junk from homes, offices, garages, and job sites
- Follow direction from your Team Lead and assist on every job
- Handle furniture, debris, and miscellaneous junk safely and efficiently
- Use moving equipment like dollies, ramps, and lifting straps
- Build relationships with customers onsite
- Maintain truck cleanliness and represent the brand professionally
What to Expect
- Schedule: As-needed shifts, primarily Monday–Saturday, 7:30 AM – ~4:30 PM (days end when work ends). Hours vary week to week based on demand.
- Work Location: All over Maryland
- Physical and outdoor job: Includes stairs, basements, attics, and all weather conditions
- Teamwork: You will always work alongside another crew member
Compensation & Benefits
- $18/hr tips (most jobs include cash tips)

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
