We are looking for a professional Prep Cook to be in our kitchen, following our specifications and guidelines. The successful candidate will employ its culinary and managerial skills in order to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers’ satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Preparing ingredients: Washing, peeling, cutting, chopping, and dicing ingredients. They also prepare sauces, soups, and stocks.
- Measuring and portioning: Measuring and assembling ingredients according to recipes.
- Storing food: Ensuring food and drinks are stored properly to maintain quality and freshness.
- Labeling and stocking: Labeling and stocking ingredients so they are organized and easily accessible.
- Cleaning: Cleaning cooking areas and kitchen equipment. They may also wash dishes and take out the trash.
- Following guidelines: Complying with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
- Assisting others: Assisting line cooks and chefs as needed.
- Following lists: Completing tasks in order on prep lists created by chefs.
- Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
