What are the responsibilities and job description for the Baker position at Twisted Tree Baking Company?
Twisted Tree is a family owned, European style Bakery in Historic Downtown Edmond, focusing on high quality breads and pastries made fresh daily. The focus of the menu is stone deck baked breads such as country sourdough, baguettes and focaccia, as well as pastries, with an emphasis on Vienoisserie such as butter croissants and their derivatives: danishes, scones, kuchen, trifles, pot de cremes, les bouchon, cruffins etc. Please check out our website and socials for more info and pictures.
The bakers are the heart blood of the business, crafting all of the breads and pastries and will work early morning shifts (6am-2pm). The bakery is open from 7:30am-2pm (or Sold Out), Monday through Saturday and is closed on Sundays (prep shifts on Sundays). Starting pay is $15. Lamination experience is desired but not necessary. For this position, we are looking for someone who can work 30-35 hours per week, every week, from 6am-2pm. Open and full availability is required.
This is not a seasonal or summer only position, must be able to work year round.
Twisted Tree is ran and operated by local Chef Robert Black, his wife Lori, and his sister and Head Baker Kassie Joslin.
Most important to Robert, Lori and Kassie is that the team enjoys coming to work everyday, and has fun while making best-in-class breads and pastries.

Qualifications
- Baking and/or Pastry experience required
- Culinary background or education preferred
- Knowledge of food handling regulations
- Ability to work with knives safely
- Ability to stand on your feet for up to 8 hours at a time
- Able to lift 50lb bags of flour and sugar
