Golf Course Equipment Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on golf course equipment including mowers, greens rollers, aerators, and utility vehicles
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel engine issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
• Conduct detailed diagnostics on electrical systems, wiring, sensors, and power generation systems to identify faults accurately
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other mechanical tools to complete repairs efficiently
• Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and maintenance schedules to ensure equipment longevity and compliance
• Assist with small engine maintenance and repairs on various equipment components
• Support the setup and calibration of equipment to meet operational standards while adhering to safety protocols

Skills

• Proven experience or service technician background with a focus on heavy machinery or automotive repair
• Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in diesel engine repair, electrical diagnostics, and equipment troubleshooting
• Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical systems repair procedures
• Experience working with Toro or similar heavy-duty equipment brands is highly desirable
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while handling manual tasks related to equipment maintenance
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, soldering, and other mechanical repair methods
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
