Job Description
Twisted Grounds is seeking a friendly and dependable Cashier to support customers and daily café operations. This role involves taking orders, processing payments, answering general questions about menu items, organizing completed orders, and maintaining a clean and welcoming service area. The ideal candidate is courteous, detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a busy café environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and provide friendly, professional service
- Take coffee, beverage, and food orders accurately
- Confirm order details and communicate customer requests with café team members
- Operate the POS system and process cash and card payments accurately
- Answer general questions about coffee, beverages, food, and menu options
- Provide receipts and assist with routine checkout requests
- Help organize completed orders for dine-in, takeaway, or pickup
- Keep the register, counter, and service areas clean and organized
- Restock cups, lids, bags, napkins, utensils, and other café supplies
- Assist baristas and coworkers during busy service periods
- Follow cash-handling, food-safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures
- Support opening, closing, and other routine café duties
Qualifications
- Previous cashier, café, coffee shop, restaurant, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful
- Friendly and professional approach to customers
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Comfortable learning POS systems and payment procedures
- Good attention to detail and transaction accuracy
- Able to stay organized while handling multiple customer orders
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced café environment
