We are seeking a talented and passionate Licensed Barber to join our dynamic team! Responsibilities
- Provide professional barbering services including haircuts, shaves, beard trims, and grooming consultations with precision and style.
- Utilize salon software systems for appointment scheduling, client records management, and retail sales tracking.
- Maintain impeccable sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning tools, equipment, and workstations in accordance with health regulations.
- Engage with clients through excellent communication skills to understand their preferences, recommend suitable styles or products, and upsell retail items effectively.
- Manage front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, booking appointments, processing payments, and handling client inquiries professionally.
- Mentor junior team members by sharing expertise in hair styling techniques, color theory, and salon best practices to foster a collaborative environment.
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license issued by the appropriate state licensing board.
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio of haircutting, styling, coloring, and grooming services.
- Proficiency with salon management software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff.
- Excellent communication skills to connect with clients effectively and provide outstanding customer service.
- Ability to perform retail sales through upselling products like hair care items or grooming accessories while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong understanding of time management skills.
