The employee will frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high places and is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals.
The noise level in the work environment is moderate to high.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with hiring and training of all seasonal Water Park staff.
- Trains, schedules, and monitors performance of seasonal Water Park staff.
- Supervises waterpark lifeguards and waterpark staff.
- Acts as facility representative during health inspections.
- Establishes and edits Lifeguard coverage and rotations for each shift as needed
- Oversees daily operations, prioritizes safety and creates a fun, engaging environment for members and visitors.
- Maintains records and reports related to aquatic facilities and reports concerns to management.
- Addresses patron or facility concerns that escalate beyond Lifeguard intervention.
- Coordinates all staff in emergency situations ensuring facility Emergency Action Plan (EAP) is followed.
- Interacts with attendees to encourage proper use of all facilities.
- Always provides excellent customer service.
- Acts as facility representative during Red Cross Aquatic Examiner visits.
- Implements corrective action for concerns related to aquatics staff and facilities.
- Conducts limited maintenance on filter, heating and chemical operations at the outdoor Water Park.
- Properly uses all machinery and equipment.
- Supervises swimmers both in the pool and on deck and maintains proper conduct of guests in all areas.
- Maintains a safe pool environment including keeping the pool, deck and surrounding areas clean and free of hazard.
- Takes food and beverage orders and serves food.
- Works with Activities Coordinator on scheduling group rentals.
- Works cash register and performs opening and closing operations.
- Properly sells memberships.
- Enforces facility policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- CPR/First Aid/Lifeguard, Lifeguard Management and Lifeguard Instructor certifications are required. Must have or be able to obtain a Certified Pool Operator certification (this can be earned through our facility once hired).
- Previous Point of Sale (POS) experience preferred.
- Must communicate effectively and must be proficient in English.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as ability to learn recreational software application.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays. The Water Park is operates seven days a week.
- Maintains a professional, helpful attitude at all times.
- Regular, punctual in-person attendance.
- Must have adequate vision and hearing abilities to monitor swimmers and the pool.
- Ability to interact with and be courteous to fellow employees and participants of diverse backgrounds.
