We need someone who understands the fundamentals of reliability and asset management first and foremost, and who can extend that knowledge through data and technology.
Core Responsibilities
- Analyze data and information from various sources and justify life-cycle cost and reliability improvement activities.
- Perform failure analysis and RCAs on equipment failures. Develop corrective actions and track results.
- Development and optimisation of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies using Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) principles
- Develop Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMPs) and PMs to improve equipment performance and reliability while minimizing repair costs.
- Condition monitoring program delivery including vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonic testing, and oil analysis
- Analyze Bad actor and repeat corrective maintenance activities. defect elimination initiatives
- Review BOMs and spare parts for critical equipment.
- Develop and assist with Reliability Assessments of facilities and/or equipment.
- CMMS and APM platform optimisation to improve data integrity, work order quality, and schedule compliance
- Turnaround planning support, backlog management, and asset lifecycle strategy input
- Operational and maintenance data analysis to identify failure trends and quantify improvement
- Dashboard development and data visualisation using Tableau, Power BI, and similar tools
- Supporting the development of software products and digital tools through coding and automation
- Working with technology partners to pilot and deliver new capabilities into live operations
Qualifications
- A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Reliability Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Some experience in mining, oil and gas, LNG, or heavy industrial environments
- Applied knowledge of reliability methodologies and strategies such as RCM, TPM, FMEA, RCA, and RAM analysis
- Experience with condition monitoring technologies and predictive maintenance
- Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent data visualisation platforms
- Familiarity with CMMS/EAM systems such as SAP PM or Maximo
- Coding ability in Python, SQL, or similar for data analysis and product development
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and collaborative skills for cross-functional teamwork
- Experience with advanced industrial technologies such as AI and robotics is a plus
Nice to Have's
- CRE, CMRP, or ISO 18436 certification
- Experience with ISO 55000 asset management frameworks
- Exposure to digital twin, IIoT, or machine learning in industrial settings
- Risk-based inspection or SIL assessment knowledge
- Experience contributing to software product development
- Experience with advanced industrial technologies such as AI and robotics is a plus
