Field Soils Technician - Fountain Valley
Twining Consulting, an innovative engineering, testing, and inspection Company is seeking a Field Soils Technician to work based out of our Fountain Valley office.
Candidate must be self-starting, be proactive, focus and detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide grading observations.
- Provide compaction testing on soils, aggregates and asphalt.
- Document project grading activities.
- Provide sampling and Quality Control of concrete and/or grout.
- Provide special inspections per additional inspection certifications in accordance with approved project documents.
Required Competencies:
- ICC Soils Inspector License.
- LA Deputy Grading certification.
- Nuclear gauge usage certification.
- ACI Field Technician Grade 1 license is a plus.
- ICC Reinforced Concrete is a plus.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate clearly with coworkers, clients, consultants, contractors and potential clients.

This position will travel to various construction sites in the Southern California area.
