Duties
- Clear and reset tables efficiently to prepare for new guests, ensuring cleanliness and order.
- Assist servers by bussing tables promptly and accurately, supporting smooth service flow.
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in dining areas, including sweeping, mopping, and trash disposal.
- Handle food and dishware carefully during cleaning and transport, following safe lifting practices.
- Support food handling activities such as setting tables with utensils, napkins, and condiments as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate table turnover and guest needs.
- Help with basic kitchen or catering tasks when required, including light food handling or setup.
Skills
- Experience in food service or hospitality environments is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong cleaning skills with knowledge of sanitation standards in restaurants or hotels.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices.
- Excellent communication skills to work seamlessly with servers, kitchen staff, and management.
- Customer service-oriented attitude with a friendly approach to guest interactions.
- Knowledge of table setting, food safety, and general restaurant operations is advantageous.
- Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
