Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status
- Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies
- Support medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety procedures
- Operate manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts safely to assist with resident transfers
- Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and performing routine cleaning tasks
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or residential care settings
- Strong knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, and memory care techniques
- Ability to perform first aid and CPR confidently in emergency situations
- Skilled in safe patient lifting practices and manual handling techniques
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with residents, families, and team members
- Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems for documentation
- Valid driver’s license for driving responsibilities related to home & community care or transportation needs
