Job Summary
Under the direction of a site principal, principal’s designee or other appropriate administrator, plan, implement, monitor, and assess a classroom instructional program.
Requirements / Qualifications
Substitutes are ‘on-call’ employees serving on a day-to-day basis. Be advised that absences are unpredictable; therefore assignment offers are not guaranteed.
The intent of a substitute is to fill in for an employee who is on a leave of absence or for an approved vacancy.
CONTINGENT UPON HIRE:
• A valid and current Credential or 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit issued by California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
• Candidates must provide proof of a negative Tuberculosis (TB) reading (no older than 4 years).
• Pass a criminal background check by the Department of Justice and possibly by the FBI have a valid teaching credential/permit on file with CTC.
• AB-2534 Employment History: You must list all previous LEAs (Local Education Agencies (where you have been employed).
• Complete the Twin Rivers USD online onboarding/hire packet.

Twin Rivers USD can help you apply for your 30-day permit as long as you have proof of a Bachelor's degree.

Failure to disclose any previous educational employment may result in the disqualification of your application.
You must list all previous LEAs (Local Education Agencies (where you have been employed). If multiple LEAs are with the same district, only the district information is required. An LEA is a local entity involved in education including but not limited to school districts, county offices of education, direct-funded charter schools, and special education local plan area (SELPA).
