Job Summary
Twin Rivers, located in beautiful Fall City, is seeking a motivated individual who is ready to step into our Lead Groundskeeper position and oversee the maintenance and beautification of our golf course. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for landscaping, turf care, plant health, irrigation systems, and hardscape features. Your leadership will ensure that all grounds are meticulously maintained, safe, and visually appealing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage outdoor projects, supervise crew members, and contribute to the overall aesthetic and functionality of our outdoor environments.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily groundskeeping activities, including lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and tree care.
- Lead outdoor work projects involving tasks such as hardscape installation and irrigation system setup.
- Manage and operate grounds maintenance equipment, landscaping tools, and company vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Oversee irrigation management to ensure proper watering schedules, system repairs, and upgrades are implemented effectively.
- Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to maintain healthy landscapes; provide recommendations for plant care and replacement.
- Supervise crew members by assigning tasks, providing training on equipment operation, safety protocols, and landscaping techniques.
- Conduct routine inspections of grounds to identify maintenance needs or hazards; implement corrective actions promptly.
- Collaborate with team members on large-scale projects to ensure timely completion while adhering to safety standards.
Skills
- Outdoor work experience with a strong background in lawn care, irrigation, gardening, and landscape maintenance.
- Supervising experience with team management skills that motivate and develop staff effectively.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant identification, pruning techniques, and pest management.
- Skilled in irrigation management—installation, troubleshooting, repairs—and understanding of irrigation systems.
- Experience with hardscape construction such as pathways, retaining walls, or patios is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment safely; familiarity with landscaping tools and construction equipment.
- Leadership qualities paired with excellent communication skills; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles; familiarity with construction standards is a plus.
