Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature, ensuring accurate medical documentation
- Support medication administration under supervision in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical protocols
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or memory impairments, ensuring their safety and comfort
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans within EMR (Electronic Medical Records)
- Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures like catheter care or wound management to prevent infections
- Engage in patient service activities across inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, assisted living environments
Requirements
- Valid CNA certification from an accredited program with current licensure in the state of Idaho
- Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, behavioral health, or individuals with disabilities
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as PCC for accurate medical documentation
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices including aseptic technique
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and provide compassionate patient care
