Position Overview:
As our Drafter, you’ll play a key role in translating design concepts into accurate technical drawings for construction and installation. You’ll work closely with project managers, estimators, and field teams to ensure plans are clear, complete, and buildable.
Responsibilities:
· Create detailed CAD drawings and construction documents for landscape construction projects
· Interpret landscape design concepts and transform them into technical plans
· Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to support field execution
· Revise drawings based on redlines, site changes, and client feedback
· Ensure drawings meet code requirements, specifications, and company standards
· Collaborate closely with landscape architects, project managers, and field teams
· Translate conceptual designs and sketches into technical plans and shop drawings
· Assist in material takeoffs, layout plans, and as-built documentation
· Maintain drawing standards and documentation systems
Requirements:
· Proficiency in AutoCAD (Land F/X or Civil 3D a plus)
· Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, or Rhino is a plus
· Experience with landscape construction or civil site drafting
· Understanding of grading, drainage, planting, hardscape, and construction detailing
· Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
· 2 years of experience in a drafting role within landscape architecture, civil, or construction industries
· Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
· Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
· Certificate or degree in drafting, landscape architecture, or related field
