Overview
Twin Ports Testing is seeking an Engineer-In-Training to join our team. This person will primarily assist in geotechnical fieldwork, create cost estimates for upcoming projects, and writing geotechnical reports under the direction of a professional engineer. Within this position, skills such as performing subsurface soil investigations and performing testing/inspection in both lab and field environments will be developed.
Responsibilities
- Field/laboratory soil classification and sampling
- Support project scheduling efforts to ensure timely completion of tasks and deliverables.
- Preparing proposals and determining scopes of work
- Making recommendations and preparing engineering reports for review
- Observing construction in progress and reporting to project engineers
- Maintaining client communications and existing relationships
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field
- Currently possess EIT or obtain within 6 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior professional consulting experience
- Geotechnical report writing experience
- Field soil investigation and testing experience
- CAD experience
Applicants must have proof of valid driver’s license and clean driving record and ability to obtain a Class A license, the ability to prioritize and properly manage their workload, and the ability to lift 50lbs on a regular basis. Pay based on experience level.
