Performs maintenance, light construction, and repair duties on County Fair buildings and grounds. The duties include maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and other systems. Additionally, the employee performs skilled carpentry, painting, drywall, cabinetry, grounds keeping, and related repair and remodeling tasks. The principal duties are performed in a public building environment that may include working on rooftops, in crawl spaces, and in adverse weather conditions and hazards involving the use of power tools and equipment. The work is performed under the supervision of the Fair Manager.

- Completes assignments as directed by the Operations Manager
- Attends weekly staff meetings personnel of projects that need to be completed.
- Places the good of the Association before that of personal or professional gain.
- Acts in accordance with the Policy Manual.
- Abides by the majority decision of the Board and Management Team.
- Maintains good public relations at all times.
- Works outdoors
Additional
- Drives various equipment and uses small hand tools for minor repairs.
- Operates lawn mower, weed eaters and other lawn equipment.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Essential
- Climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, lifting objects form a lower to a higher position that
- Be able to lift weight 50 pounds or more, walking, fingering, grasping, talking and hearing.
- Works inside and outside and is subject to environmental conditions.
- Subject to atmospheric conditions including: Dust, animals, hay, and straw.
- Ability to perform essential duties efficiently and accurately with or without reasonable accommodations and without endangering incumbent and other employees.
- High school diploma or GED;
- Valid Idaho State Driver's License;
- An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required skills,
- knowledge and abilities to successfully perform the essential functions of the position may
- be considered.
- Must successfully pass background investigation relevant to the position and remain in
- good standing for the duration of employment with the County.
- Possess a CDL Driver's License or be able to obtain a CDL if the job requires it in the future
