Position Summary
The Electrical Construction Project Manager is directly responsible for the overall success of the project. The primary focus will be preparing documentation, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and customer service. This position is located in Troy, NY.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee electrical projects from bid award through final closeout.
- Manage and prepare post-bid documents and submittals
- Manage project budgets and schedules
- Prepare change orders, RFIs and project documentation
- Coordinate with General Contractors, architects, engineers and inspectors
- Supervise field foreman and coordinate manpower, materials and equipment needs
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes and quality control procedures
- Maintain strong communication with clients and project stake holders
- Track project progress and provide regular updates to company leadership.
Knowledge and Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience of project management on commercial construction projects.
- Proven experience managing AIA projects
- P6 and Primavera experience not required but preferred
- Must have strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to present information to supervisors, groups of clients, top management, or team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management, or equivalent job experience preferred
