Schedule: Full Time Variable Shift/Rotate Weekends. 12hr shifts.

How you will contribute

A Patient Access Specialist who excels in this role:

• Verifies insurance benefits, eligibility, and obtains insurance authorizations when necessary.
• Collects deposits, co-pays, and deductibles.
• Educates patients and families regarding patient rights, advanced directives, and distributes patient guides.
• Commits to demonstrating the following behaviors that show that the healthcare team at Twin County Regional Healthcare CARES about our patients/families/physicians and each other.

What we are looking for: Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Computer proficiency required.
• Medical terminology experience preferred.
• Billing and/or collection experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and telephone skills are a must.
