How you’ll contribute
The Director of Health Information Management leads a dedicated team as a forward-thinker and champion of data accuracy and privacy to support clinicians, caregivers, patients, and our community. Responsibilities include:
- Develops and implements departmental goals, plan, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.
- Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.
- Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance.
- Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.
- Exhibits a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices.

What we’re looking for: Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or other related field.
- RHIT or RHIA certification is required.
- Previous leadership/supervisory experience is preferred.

TCRH is a 141-bed facility that includes acute care, ambulatory care and emergency services. TCRH is considered a rural hospital that serves a large Medicare population, as well as, a total population of approximately 60,000. We operate within a 100-mile radius.
