What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counselor Assistant - Overnights position at Twin County Recovery Services Inc.?

Location is in Catskill at our Women's Reintegration Residence.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assist Case Managers and SUD Counselors with administrative tasks (filing, organizing paperwork, data entry).
- Monitor and maintain a welcoming, safe environment in communal areas.
- Breakdown of chart for discharged residents.
- Offer encouragement and support to participants as they work through their reintegration process.
- Observe and report any concerns regarding participant well-being to the appropriate staff.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to program policies.
- Urine drug screening of residents.
- Review of charts.
- Keep Case Manger informed of any upcoming service plans or updates on service plans a week in advance.
- Keep client roster update weekly.
- Bed checks every three hours, to ensure the safety of residents.
- Responsible for medication keys and making medications available to residents as appropriate. Narcotic medication counts at the beginning and end of shift.
- Review medication books for medication that is ready to be refilled and fax the information to CHEMRX
- Typing letters of admission, discharge, and courts.
- Fax all admission and discharge letters to outside entities that clients are involved with, with a release attached.
- Admission and discharge forms for OASAS filled out and faxed to Red Door overnight relief manager (Riverside to fax only)
- Red Door will send info to OASAS for both houses.
- Dispensing morning medications.
- Knowledge of and incorporation of chain of command.
