- Safely operate commercial trucks, including all FMCSA and all company rules.
- Drop and Hook with some live load and unload.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to guarantee vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Follow designated routes diligently, adhering to schedules while adjusting for traffic or weather conditions to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Manage documentation accurately for all shipments, including delivery receipts, load manifests, and inspection reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery statuses, route changes, or any issues encountered on the road.
- Maintain a professional attitude while representing the company’s commitment to safety, customer service, and operational excellence.
- Valid CDL-A license with a clean driving record; experience operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Proven truck driving experience in OTR and Drop and Hook operations.
- Strong knowledge of load & unload procedures and route driving best practices within regional areas.
- Excellent safety awareness and compliance with DOT regulations; ability to perform detailed vehicle inspections.
- Physical capability to handle freight loads and perform necessary truck maintenance checks regularly.
