Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Dealership Parts Manager to oversee the inventory, procurement, and distribution of automotive parts within our dealership. The ideal candidate will possess strong supply chain management skills, automotive knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure seamless operations. This role is essential in maintaining optimal inventory levels, managing vendor relationships, and supporting the dealership’s service and repair departments to deliver exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire parts inventory, including ordering, receiving, storing, and distributing parts efficiently.
- Oversee procurement processes, sourcing OEM parts, and negotiating pricing with suppliers to maximize cost savings.
- Utilize DMS systems and order management systems to track inventory levels, sales data, and demand planning.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff for shipping & receiving, equipment repair, and logistics operations.
- Maintain accurate data entry for inventory control and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Monitor supply chain performance and implement improvements to optimize procurement and inventory management workflows.
- Collaborate with automotive service departments to forecast parts demand and ensure timely availability of parts for repairs.
- Supervise warehouse management activities including equipment repair and safety protocols.
- Develop strong supplier relationships to enhance sourcing options and negotiate favorable terms.
- Support dealership operations by managing pricing strategies and demand planning for parts sales.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations related to warehouse operations such as HVAC standards and equipment handling.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of automotive, auto body repair, OEM parts sourcing, and automotive service processes.
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for data entry, inventory control, and demand planning.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively across departments.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures along with logistics coordination experience.
- Dealership experience or familiarity with automotive parts industry standards is a plus.
