Job Overview
Build relationships with TCH customers and provide exceptional service, product knowledge and a superior customer experience. Answer all incoming commercial door sales calls. Assist Customers in person or over the phone with Will Call orders, new orders or product questions.
Essential Job Functions:
- Take customer calls and walk ins for commercial sales and orders for doors, frames, hardware
- Estimate job costs and create quotes in BC365 for small door/frame customer requests
- Troubleshoot customer product needs to recommend or sell the appropriate product
- Process customer payments via cash, check or credit card
- Pull product for Will Call orders, assist customer with loading
- Run and review Will Call Open Order report, ensure orders stay on schedule, follow up/update customers for timely order pick up
- Close and balance cash drawer at end of day
- Assist with transfers from other TCH warehouse locations
- Perform product counts to maintain proper inventory levels as directed by Warehouse manager
- Process customer returns with guidance from Warehouse manager
- Ensure great service by interacting with customers, manufacturers, architects and co-workers
- Periodic support in Residential hardware sales dept; gather information from customers and share with sales team
Requirements/Skills
- Inside/outside sales experience a plus, but not required
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications, preferred
- Ability to understand and utilize BC365, cERP, EPWS, and Windows/Google software
- Door and hardware, or related experience preferred
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Self-motivated individual that can manage time effectively
- Detail-oriented individual that can juggle multiple tasks
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Strong cognitive skills, problem analysis, decision making and comprehension
- Favorable results from a Motor Vehicle Record and background check
Working Conditions
Office setting adjacent to Warehouse environment with extended periods of sitting and computer work. Daily phone usage. Periodic site visits which may be dusty or loud and require walking on a variety of surfaces and the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
