Essential Job Functions
- Estimate project costs in a competitive bid environment using TCH software and estimating software- EPWS
- Obtain factory quotes, and review Take-Off for accuracy
- Work with the Project Manager and/or Branch Manager to set markups
- Prepare bid proposals using the TCH Bid Log; follow up on bids and update Bid Log in a timely manner
- Research and problem solve project issues/ questions in coordination with Project Manager
- Write customer orders in CERP/B365C as directed by the Project Manager
- Assist Project Manager in pursuing executed change orders from customers, writing change orders, updating financials in company software, keeping job folders organized, requesting closeout documents from Engineering, and ordering factory products as required
- Drive to job sites, contractor’s offices; attend meetings inside/outside the office, run errands as required
- Print/ save plans and specifications
- Detail projects for submittal and revise approved shop drawings as required
- Manage all projects when the Project Manager is unavailable or out of the office
- Attend internal and external training to increase product knowledge of the door and hardware industry
- Work with Accounting to assure accurate information on job invoicing, bid bonds, or any special paperwork as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Skills Requirements
- Ability to understand and utilize BC365 and CERP
- Basic knowledge of industry terminology and nomenclature
- Self-motivated individual who can help manage multiple projects with varying deadlines
- High attention to detail and willingness to learn from errors to prevent in the future
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in written and verbal forms within all levels of TCH, and its customers
- Strong cognitive skills, including problem analysis, decision making and comprehension
- Intermediate knowledge of Windows-based programs
- Ability to travel to job sites as necessary
Working Conditions
Office environment involving extended periods of computer work; workstations allow standing or sitting. May include driving to customer job sites.
