Essential Duties:

  • Repair, maintain, and adjust commercial dock levelers and equipment
  • Repair, maintain, and adjust residential and commercial garage doors and garage door openers
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and structural issues with products including dock levelers, doors, tracks, springs, cables, sensors, and openers
  • Perform routine inspections to ensure proper alignment, lubrication, and safe operation of equipment
  • Replace worn or damaged parts, including springs, rollers, hinges, seals, and weather stripping
  • Operate scissor lifts and forklifts to access elevated work areas and transport materials and equipment
  • Operate hand and power tools, and measuring instruments safely and efficiently
  • Safely operate company vehicles, including occasional pulling of trailers with tools, equipment, and supplies
  • Maintain accurate records of services performed
  • Provide customers with estimates, explain service needs, answer technical questions, and collect customer payments in a professional manner
  • Load, transport, and unload tools, equipment, and materials to and from job sites
  • Other duties as assigned

What are some requirements of the job?

  • Ability to work a full-time, day shift
  • Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds
  • Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record is a must
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
  • DOT physical is required
