Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and manufacturing machinery in our facility. This role focuses primarily on machine maintenance, including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems that keep production running efficiently.
The Industrial Maintenance Technician performs equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, machine overhauls, and equipment installations. While occasional building maintenance may be required, the primary responsibility is maintaining and repairing production machinery and automated equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair production machinery and manufacturing equipment
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on motors, conveyors, pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions using meters, gauges, and diagnostic tools
- Repair or replace mechanical components including bearings, belts, shafts, motors, and gearboxes
- Inspect drives, motors, belts, and fluid systems to ensure proper operation
- Troubleshoot basic electrical systems including motors, sensors, and controls
- Assist with machine installation, upgrades, and equipment overhauls
- Fabricate or modify machine guards and components as needed
- Maintain maintenance records and document completed repairs
- Work with outside vendors or contractors when necessary
- Follow all company safety and environmental procedures
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial or manufacturing equipment
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Electrical troubleshooting experience
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, or technical manuals
- Experience performing preventive maintenance on production equipment
- Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- PLC troubleshooting experience
- Welding or fabrication experience
- Experience repairing conveyors, pumps, or motors
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Vocational training, technical certificate, or associate degree in a related field
This position requires the ability to work in an active manufacturing environment.
Employees Must Be Able To
- Lift up to 50–85 pounds occasionally
- Stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the shift
- Use hand and power tools frequently
- Work around moving machinery, vibration, and varying temperatures
- Wear required PPE
