Physician Assistant

Twin Cities Cardiology
Wayzata, MN Full Time
POSTED ON 5/31/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 7/30/2026

At Twin Cities Cardiology, we are building a different kind of cardiology clinic, where care feels like it should: personal, thoughtful, and comforting. We’re looking for people who are energized by our vision and want to help us bring it to life.

About the Role

The Physician Assistant is a trusted partner to our patients across their cardiovascular care journey. You will see patients independently in clinic for new consults and follow-ups, working shoulder-to-shoulder with our supervising cardiologist to deliver care that is clinically excellent, deeply personal, and unhurried.

We are looking for an experienced clinician who brings sharp cardiovascular judgment, a calm and reassuring presence, and genuine passion for the way care should feel for patients and teammates alike. If you have ever wanted to practice cardiology the way it should be practiced, without the volume pressure and friction of a large system, this role is built for you.

The Physician Assistant is very closely partnered with the cardiologist to jointly provide exceptional care and an exceptional experience – two things we believe are inseparable, not competing priorities. This role is about practicing at the top of your license in a setting designed to let you do it well: listen deeply, think carefully, and decide deliberately, with a team built around getting both the medicine and the moment right. You will be central to how patients experience their journey with us – and equally central to the clinical decisions that shape it.

Key Responsibilities:

Independent Clinical Care: Conduct new patient consultations and follow-up visits independently in our clinic. Take a thorough cardiovascular history, perform focused physical exams, formulate differentials, order and interpret diagnostics, and develop and adjust treatment plans in partnership with our supervising/collaborating cardiologist.

Cardiovascular Management: Manage common cardiovascular conditions across the practice, including hypertension, hyperlipidemia, coronary artery disease, heart failure, atrial fibrillation and other arrhythmias, valvular disease, and preventive cardiology. Titrate guideline-directed medical therapy with confidence and care.

Diagnostic Interpretation: Review and interpret ECGs, ambulatory monitors, stress tests, echocardiograms, and other cardiovascular diagnostics in collaboration with the cardiologist. Translate findings into clear, plain-language conversations with patients.

Patient Experience: Spend the time each patient deserves. Listen first. Explain the “why” behind every recommendation. Make sure patients and their families leave each visit feeling heard, informed, and confident in their plan.

Care Team Cohesion: Partner with our team members to ensure seamless transitions, timely follow-up, and closed-loop communication with primary care, referring providers, and specialists.

AI-Augmented Practice: Embrace and help refine the AI-augmented workflows that support our documentation, decision support, and patient communication. Bring a clinician’s eye to how these tools are deployed, and help us make them better.

Clinical Quality & Safety: Practice within scope and uphold the highest standards of evidence-based cardiovascular care. Contribute to protocol development, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement of how we deliver care.

Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate, timely, and thoughtful documentation in the EHR. Uphold HIPAA standards and all clinic protocols in every interaction.

Practice Growth: As one of our senior clinicians, contribute to how we grow – mentoring teammates, refining clinical pathways, and helping shape the kind of practice you want to work in.

Other duties as assigned from time to time.
