Duties
- Prepare subfloors and surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and repairing to ensure optimal installation conditions
- Measure, cut, and lay flooring materials such as hardwood, laminate, tile, vinyl, or carpet according to project specifications and blueprints
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during installation processes
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute precise layouts
- Collaborate with team members and project managers to coordinate installation schedules and ensure timely project completion
- Perform quality inspections throughout the installation process to maintain high standards of craftsmanship
- Assist with site cleanup, material handling, and equipment setup to maintain a safe work environment
Requirements
- Proven experience in flooring installation or related construction trades such as carpentry, tile laying, or remodeling
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction plans
- OSHA CARD REQUIRED
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and specialized flooring tools, SANDERS, EDGERS, RIDE-ON
- Knowledge of other construction disciplines including concrete forming, masonry, plastering, or roofing is advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety protocols
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
