What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) position at Twilight Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation?
Twilight Gardens Nursing and Rehabilitation is currently looking for an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), an energetic, caring, and compassionate candidate, an RN, who will provide continuing guidance to our nursing team. This is a FT salaried position that does involve on call rotation between the clinical team members. This position is generally Monday-Friday 8a-430pm BUT hours are negoitable. As Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) your duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist and support the DON in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing of the nursing department
- Monitors the completion of assessments in a timely manner
- Oversees nursing services on Unit 1
- Attends meetings as appropriate
- Assists with Wound Care Management
- Asssists in new Hire Orientation
- May assign monthly online education

REQUIREMENTS:
- Current RN license required
- Experience in Long-Term Care settings
- 3 years management experience preferred
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Evidence of basic leadership skills and supervision
- Wound Care Experience Preferred/Required as well as experience in managing a unit
- Flexible hours required
