TWG Engineering is seeking motivated, detail-oriented Field Technicians to support utility infrastructure inspection and asset auditing projects throughout the United States. No utility experience? No problem. We provide extensive training and are looking for individuals with a strong work ethic, integrity, and a willingness to learn.
What You'll Do
As a Field Technician, you will collect critical field data used to support utility and infrastructure projects across the country. Your work will directly contribute to the safety, reliability, and modernization of utility systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct inspections and audits of utility assets in urban, suburban, and rural environments.
- Utilize GPS equipment and company software to collect and record field data.
- Document observations through notes, sketches, photographs, and digital reporting tools.
- Upload and maintain accurate daily inspection records.
- Follow established safety procedures and project requirements.
- Communicate professionally with property owners, residents, and members of the public.
- Maintain company-issued equipment and vehicles.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and office personnel to ensure project success.
- Travel to project locations throughout the United States as needed.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum age of 21
- Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assignments
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and environments
- Willingness to travel and work overnight assignments as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Utility industry experience
- Surveying or land surveying experience
- GIS data collection experience
- Utility locating experience
- Construction or field service experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk 5-10 miles per day
- Ability to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions
- Ability to kneel, crouch, bend, and climb as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to safely operate a vehicle and travel long distances
What We Offer
Good Faith Salary Range: The hourly rate for this position starts from $20.00 to $30.00 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
