Program Manager (Aerospace or Software Engineering Manufacturing Exp. Req.) Description

Our client in the aerospace technology industry is seeking a Program Manager to join their team in Silver Spring, MD. In this individual contributor role, you will oversee diverse projects, strategic initiatives, and new product development for advanced aerospace equipment. The ideal candidate will have program management experience supporting aerospace and/or software engineering projects and thrive in a dynamic environment managing multiple priorities. Success requires high motivation, organization, drive, and collaboration while maintaining confidentiality. Program Manager (Aerospace or Software Engineering Manufacturing Exp. Req.) Responsibilities

• Lead technology product development programs within the aerospace sector
• Define scope, deliverables, budgets, and resource plans for new product initiatives
• Support the formalization of the company’s project management and documentation standards
• Collaborate with functional leaders to ensure smooth program execution
• Manage cross-functional teams and optimize program performance
• Identify key requirements for internal teams and external vendors
• Oversee project budgets, ensuring accountability for successful delivery
• Proactively manage risks and opportunities across projects
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders and executive leadership
• Conduct weekly project team meetings and manage project schedules
• Report monthly on program status to leadership

Program Manager (Aerospace or Software Engineering Manufacturing Exp. Req.) Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required
• 5 years of program management experience is required
• Significant experience in aerospace or software engineering environments is required
• Experience related to a physical product & manufacturing is required
• Proven track record working closely with engineering teams is required
• Ability to work 100% onsite is required
