Entry-Level Buyer/Office Support Description
Our client in the industrial equipment industry is seeking an Entry-Level Buyer to join their team in Kent, WA. In this role, you will support day-to-day operations across purchasing, inventory, and office administration (70% buying, 30% general office support). This position is perfect for someone who is highly detail-oriented, computer savvy, dependable, and eager to learn. All training will be provided—no prior buying experience required. You will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to help maintain inventory levels, process purchase orders, and support general administrative tasks. Entry-Level Buyer/Office Support Responsibilities
• Support purchasing operations including data entry, analysis, and vendor communication
• Track inventory levels and assist in forecasting product needs
• Review and process purchase orders and order acknowledgments
• Process inventory transfers between warehouse locations
• Monitor and follow up on shipments and deliveries
• Help resolve basic order, pricing, or shipping issues
• Assist with returns and price corrections
• Support with the selection and coordination of shipping methods
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in company systems
• Collaborate with the warehouse team as needed
• Clerical work including filing & scanning
Entry-Level Buyer/Office Support Qualifications
• Prior work experience in an office setting with data entry is required
• Prior experience related to inventory is required
• Basic math proficiency with fractions and percentages required
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills are required
• Computer savvy & comfortable learning new software is required
• Ability to attend company training in Portland, OR, for a few days is required
