About the RoleThe Senior Manager, Accounting will play a hands-on leadership role overseeing day-to-day accounting operations across a portfolio of entities within a family office environment. This role owns the accounting lifecycle end to end. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, comfortable operating autonomously, and experienced managing complex, multi-entity accounting structures.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn the complete accounting function for multiple legal entities, including general ledger, payables, receivables, reconciliations, and financial reportingLead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate resultsPrepare and review financial statements and internal management reports Maintain oversight of day-to-day transaction processing and ensure proper documentation and controlsPerform and review bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliationsEnsure accurate recording of complex transactions in accordance with GAAPManage sales and use tax compliance, including preparation, filing, and paymentsCoordinate payroll processing and related filings, including quarterly and annual reportingPartner with tax advisors on annual returns, estimates, and compliance requirementsSupport audit activities by preparing schedules, documentation, and responsesMonitor changes in accounting and tax regulations and proactively implement updates as neededProvide financial analysis and insights to support entity-level decision-makingAct as a backup across accounting functions and assist with special projects as requiredQualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related disciplineCPA strongly preferredPublic accounting experience is strongle preferred 7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in multi-entity or complex operating environmentsDeep understanding of full-cycle accounting, including payroll and tax-related processesSolid understanding of GAAP and internal controlsProven ability to manage details while maintaining a big-picture perspectiveStrong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders
