Software Engineer
$110,000 - $140,000 equity
Onsite in Dumbo, NYC

We’re working with a YC-backed startup in NYC building high-scale, real-time systems in a complex, fast-moving environment.
They’re a small, high-performing team (around 10 people) tackling problems around transactions, performance, and reliability at scale. With strong early traction and Series A on the horizon, they’re now looking to add a backend engineer who wants real ownership from day one.
They’re a fully onsite team in Dumbo that moves quickly and gives engineers a lot of ownership early on.
What you’ll be doing
- Build and scale backend systems handling real-time workflows
- Design APIs and core services
- Work closely with product to ship quickly
- Contribute to system design and performance
What they’re looking for
- Computer Science degree (or equivalent technical degree) from a top college
- 1-3 years experience building production backend systems
- Strong experience with Python (Django or similar frameworks)
- Must have experience at a startup!
