About the Role
We are seeking an experienced nurse educator and leader to serve as Program Director for our Vocational Nursing Program. This role oversees academic operations, faculty management, curriculum quality, and regulatory compliance to ensure an exceptional educational experience for VN students. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, strategic thinker, and committed to maintaining high standards of nursing education.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Vocational Nursing Program
- Oversee curriculum development to meet state requirements and prepare students for VN licensure
- Recruit, hire, guide, and evaluate faculty to ensure consistent instructional quality
- Monitor program performance, including student retention, academic outcomes, and NCLEX-PN readiness
- Maintain compliance with accrediting agencies and the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT)
- Support faculty and students through clear communication, mentorship, and conflict resolution
- Collaborate with internal departments and clinical site partners to strengthen resources and learning opportunities
- Initiate and lead program improvements to support long-term student success and program growth
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience, including at least 1 year of teaching or clinical supervision in an approved RN, VN, or practical nursing program
OR
3 years of experience in nursing education or nursing administration within the past 5 years
- Master’s degree in Nursing or related discipline (Doctorate preferred)
- Active California RN license
- Thorough knowledge of VN program standards, state regulations, and accreditation requirements
- Experience in curriculum development and program oversight
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

Pay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
