Our client, an engineering and technology organization, is seeking a Camera Tuning Engineer to support the development and optimization of advanced imaging and vision-based products. This role is responsible for improving image quality through image signal processing (ISP) tuning, testing, data analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.
The Camera Tuning Engineer will work closely with software engineers, product stakeholders, and third-party technology partners to optimize camera performance, resolve image quality issues, and support customer-driven enhancements across multiple product lines.
Key Responsibilities- Develop expertise across multiple Image Signal Processing (ISP) pipeline architectures and associated development tools.
- Tune and optimize ISP pipeline parameters to improve image quality across a variety of camera and vision products.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to define, review, implement, and validate imaging pipeline enhancements.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand product-specific image quality requirements and recommend technical solutions.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret image data using both quantitative metrics and visual assessments to drive image quality improvements.
- Design, develop, and execute automated and manual testing procedures to validate imaging performance.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues impacting camera performance.
- Support customer-driven image quality improvements by analyzing field feedback and resolving imaging concerns.
- Collaborate with third-party camera and ISP technology providers to resolve complex imaging issues.
- Maintain documentation of testing methodologies, tuning results, and technical findings.
- Participate in continuous product improvement initiatives and engineering best practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in image quality analysis, camera tuning, image processing, or a related field.
- Experience working with Image Signal Processing (ISP) pipelines.
- Strong programming or scripting experience using Python and/or MATLAB.
- Experience working with digital cameras, imaging systems, video technologies, or photography-related applications.
- Experience using version control systems such as Git or GitHub.
- Experience debugging both hardware and software issues.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret technical data to improve system performance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience working in embedded hardware and software environments.
- Experience with Linux development environments.
- Knowledge of signal processing concepts and time-series data analysis.
- Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Customer-facing experience supporting image quality tuning or product optimization.
- Experience collaborating with third-party camera, sensor, or ISP technology providers.
- Industry experience in one or more of the following:

Salary : $95,000 - $105,000
