We are looking for a compassionate dietary aide to join our team. Understands and is able to follow instructions from the Food Service Director and Cooks regarding assigned tasks. Responsible for assisting food preparation and delivery of each meal, as needed. Ability to perform all duties in a sanitary manner to provide the highest quality meals daily.
The Dietary Aide is responsible for table service to residents to ensure an excellent dining experience. The position duties include setting up and clearing the dining room and taking orders and bringing food to the table in a timely and courteous manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: (Responsibilities, Accountabilities, and Competencies; May not include all duties of this job)
· Promptly take food orders from the residents and deliver to the kitchen, and then deliver the ordered food to the resident in a timely and courteous manner. Ensure service is accurate and quality food is presented.
· For meal service:
- Greet guests in a friendly and timely manner.
- Prepare dining area prior to start of dining hours.
· Know and follow proper food handling and infection control techniques in order to maintain the dining room in a sanitary and orderly condition.
· Bus tables and change dirty table cloths with clean. Wipe down all the chairs in your section with a sanitized cloth.
· Clean and reset the dining room tables by following the table setting standards after each meal. Polish silverware and glasses. Check and refill sugars and creamers as needed.
· Perform assigned cleaning tasks.
- Sweep and mop the kitchen
- Vacuum the dining room.
· Attend scheduled meetings.
· Communicate with residents in dining area and residents' apartment, as needed.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
