Position Overview

Twelve76 is seeking a motivated culinary professional ready to take the next step in their career. This position is ideal for an experienced line cook, lead cook, or aspiring kitchen leader looking to grow into their first Sous Chef role.

Working directly alongside the Executive Chef, you'll gain hands-on experience in kitchen leadership, menu development, inventory management, ordering, and team development while helping maintain the high standards that define our restaurant.

We're looking for someone who loves cooking, takes pride in their work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to grow with a restaurant from the ground up.

Responsibilities

· Assist with daily kitchen operations and service

· Help lead and motivate the line during prep and dinner service

· Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards

· Support menu development and seasonal specials

· Assist with inventory management, ordering, and food cost controls

· Ensure cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards are maintained

· Train, mentor, and support kitchen team members

· Work closely with the Executive Chef and ownership team to build a positive kitchen culture

Qualifications

· Strong culinary fundamentals and a passion for hospitality

· Previous leadership experience is a plus, but not required

· Desire to grow into a kitchen leadership role

· Strong work ethic and positive attitude

· Ability to stay calm, organized, and focused under pressure

· Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

· Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8–10 hours per shift

· Ability to frequently bend, reach, lift, and carry products and equipment

· Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-temperature kitchen environment

· Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
