Brief Description
The Charge Registered Nurse (CSU) is responsible for overseeing clinical operations during assigned shifts within the Crisis Stabilization Unit. This role provides leadership, supports staff, and ensures safe, efficient, and compliant patient care. The Charge RN serves as a key point of coordination for clinical decision-making, medication oversight, and communication between staff and leadership while maintaining high standards of care in a fast-paced behavioral health environment.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
- Experience in mental health or crisis stabilization settings preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations and patient flow within the Crisis Stabilization Unit
- Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing and unit staff
- Review and ensure accuracy of medication administration and documentation (MARs)
- Conduct medication and chart audits to ensure compliance and identify gaps
- Respond to unit needs, including emergencies and staffing coverage as needed
- Communicate effectively with leadership and staff to support safe, coordinated care
Pay: Up to $45.00 per hour
