Position: Mental Health Technician (MHT)
As a Mental Health Technician, you will support our clinical teams by maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for members, visitors, and staff. You will monitor behavior, assist with crisis response, document incidents, and play a vital role in creating a recovery-focused atmosphere.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitor facilities, entrances, and surveillance equipment
- Complete routine health and safety rounds and incident reports
- Support clinical staff during codes, emergencies, and member interactions
- Assist visitors, members, and first responders as needed
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols, dress code, and HR requirements
- Support transportation coordination, emergency drills, and contraband prevention
- Participate in ongoing training and maintain certifications (CPI, CPR/First Aid, Mental Health First Aid – provided by TWC)
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of Mental Health First Aid (provided by TWC)
- Training in CPI/HWC or equivalent hands-off behavioral response techniques (provided by TWC)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to remain calm in high-stress environments and exercise sound judgment
- Ability to lift at least 100 pounds
Shifts Available:
- Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Thursday & Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Additional shifts may be available (24/7 coverage)
