This position is responsible for assisting in the design and execution of projects, using technical skills to assist engineers with process changes, building layouts, implementing layout designs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential Functions

• Review initial electrical schematics and update electrical schematics for as-built changes
• Perform I/O Check for equipment
• Perform limited electrical, pneumatic and mechanical changes to equipment
• Maintain and write PLC logic and programming
• Use and program HMI software
• Management of automated machine projects
• Participate in startup and commissioning of machinery
• Programming of industrial robots, servo drives and vision systems
• deal with and manage difficult situations
• Must be flexible enough to travel and work overtime as required to support the customer when needed
• Knowledge in AutoCAD
• Ability to read and understand electrical ladder diagrams
• Support the Sales team when needed with technical questions and costs.
• Ability to design and program custom industrial automated equipment

Work Environment
The warehouse environment is subject to seasonal temperatures and regular exposure to forklift traffic. This role will reflect 80% office and 20% warehouse environments (depending on daily tasks).

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The associate may occasionally be required to lift 51 pounds, anything greater than 51 pounds requires assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
Full Time. Schedule flexibility for extended or unplanned work hours is required.
Travel
Travel between locations will be required - 20%.
Required Education and Experience
• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelors Degree or Associates Degree in a related engineering field is preferred or 3-5 years' experience in similar role.
• Must be willing to be certified to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, skyjacks, and other industrial equipment that may be required.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety requirements and operations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, JDA, CAD, Visio, and controls software as applied.
