South Bend Branch Manager
Use your experience in Operations Management to provide direction, leadership, and management for our South Bend Distribution Center. This is an excellent opportunity for a supervisor ready to take the next step into a management role. You will lead the creation and execution of operational processes to meet business objectives and goals, providing oversight and overall management for operations while collaborating with leaders across the organization to meet distribution and customer expectations.
YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
You’ll deliver short and long term projects that support the business strategy. This will involve:
- Oversee execution of operations to meet business goals and targets
- Manage key departments including Picking, Checking, Put-Away, and Overstock
- Ensure productivity, quality, safety, and cleanliness standards are consistently met
- Collaborate with departments to resolve complex distribution issues
- Select, mentor, train, and develop staff while maintaining appropriate staffing and managing overtime
- Implement and maintain systems, tools, and equipment to support operational success
- Partner with HR on hiring, talent development, and compensation activities
- Monitor, report, and analyze KPIs to track and improve operational performance
- Foster communication and collaboration across all operations teams
- Promote and embody TVH’s Mission, Vision, and Values to strengthen company culture
HOW TO SUCCEED / YOUR PROFILE
We’re looking for someone who can come up with simple solutions to complex problems. To join us you need:
- 5 years experience as a Warehouse or Distribution Supervisor, with a proven track record of overseeing daily operations.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a small team (approximately 9 associates).
- Experience in a small to mid-sized distribution environment preferred (not limited to large 3PL operations).
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.
- Skilled in using systems, tools, and equipment for efficient product distribution
- Proficient in developing, identifying, and reporting operations metrics
- Experience with cross-functional collaboration across teams and locations
- Strong skills in handling complex employee relations and coaching through challenges
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems
- Effective communication and presentation skills across all organizational levels
- Highly organized, team-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
