Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, mechanical repair, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of mechanical and electrical systems. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, including installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC equipment in residential market. The HVAC Technician will play a vital role in ensuring optimal system performance, energy efficiency, and safety across multiple facilities.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, boilers, and mechanical systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately.
- Perform electrical diagnostics, plumbing repairs, welding, and equipment repairs as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of HVAC equipment to identify potential problems before failure occurs.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment.
- Repair or replace defective components while adhering to safety standards and regulations such as EPA certifications.
- Assist with system upgrades or new installations following design specifications including HVAC design considerations.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of work performed for compliance and future reference.
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualification
- Strong mechanical knowledge including refrigeration, plumbing, electrical diagnostics, and boiler operation.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC/R controls.
- EPA certification required; additional certifications such as HVAC license or refrigeration license are advantageous.
- Experience with equipment repair involving welding or boiler maintenance is a plus.
- Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; experience with electrical diagnostics is essential.
- Valid driver’s license required; experience operating various field service vehicles preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients alike.

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
